- Look for visible yellowish water stains on the interior wall below the skylight.
- Check for visible yellowish water stains on the ceiling of the second floor.
- The yellowish water stains on the interior wall of a chimney may serve as a sign of a roof leak or a leak resulted from aged chimney.
- Presences of abnormal peeling of wallpaper.
- Water in the attic.
