On replacement day, there are a number of things you can do to help yourself and our roofers do our job more effectively:

Move Your Cars off the Driveway

Our team of roofers will need access to your driveway. We’ll use this space for our waste bins and trucks. You will also need to make space for your new shingles to be delivered. Moving your vehicle off the driveway also ensures that it will not get hit with any debris that may fall off the roof during removal or installation. Please plan alternative parking arrangements for the day of the rood replacement.

Clean Up Your Yard

We will need access to your roof from all sides. We will need access to the side of your home as well as through your backyard. We kindly ask all homeowners to remove any items that may get in the way of doing our job effectively. We also want to remove the possibility of damage to items. Shingles, supplies, and other things can fall off the roof. Remove patio furniture, toys, and other items and place them as far away from your home as possible. And, if you have a dog, please pick up after them before we arrive.

Be Prepared for Noise

Roofing work is noisy, on the outside and the inside. Expect your home to be loud and noisy on the day of installation. If you work from home, you may want to reschedule calls and make alternative arrangements.

Understand That Shingles Cause a Smell

Shingles can cause a smell. It can be strong at times and you may notice it as you approach your property and even inside of your home if you have the windows open. This is completely normal. The smell will go away.

Be Home for the Post Installation Inspection

It’s very important for homeowners to be available for the post installation inspection. During the inspection we will go over the work that has been completed and get your sign off on the project. We’ll provide you with a time estimate for when you need to be home to complete the inspection.
